Veterans Day

I would like to offer thanks to all those that have served in our military, both those at home and those abroad. I like to remember my father on days like today, but I don't forget all the others who have served to make my life one with liberty, security and freedom. Thanks to all of you.

Vote Libertarian

My wife and I voted on Friday at the Edgewood Fire Station. New Mexico, like many states, has early voting and we wanted to take advantage of a smaller crowd as we had to distract our one and a half year old while reading lengthy verbage on bond issue after bond issue. We both voted for Libertarian candidate Michael Badnarik. It was a tough decision for my wife, but she finally got fed up with both parties and their endless droning that she voted for neither. My vote has been cinched for quite some time now. I became a Liberty Pledge member of the Libertarian Party about two years ago.

My mother, who will most likely vote for Bush, informed me that she read you become more conservative after you have children. Now that I have children, I've started thinking more and more that I cannot leave them to inherit a world corrupted by big government fueled by the Republicans and the Democrats. As a parent I feel duty bound to try and make the world a better place for my children and that means giving them the most opportunities to enjoy the liberties that are theirs by right and benefit from the rewards of their labors. The government is too big and much of it is unconstitutional.

This is an important election for the Libertarians, not because they might win the presidency, but because they might make enough of an impact this year that in four years it will be that much harder for the media to ignore them. A panelist on a Fox News show finally admitted as much, only after the host says, as usual, "What about Ralph Nader, he's on like 32 ballots." Idiot. Badnarik is on 48. It's a sad day when I could be a better political talk show host than the fools that are running around Fox. See the clip here.

Go out and vote today.

Vote Libertarian.

Vote for Michael Badnarik.
